What are you waiting for?

At some time in our lives we all have to wait for something. It could be that job we want, a change in our situation or our mate. We know how important it is to wait on the Lord and not get ahead of his plan, but how we wait and what be do while we wait a just as important, regardless what we are waiting for. Are we waiting patiently, are we working while we wait?

If we are waiting for/seeking a mate we should use that time to work on ourselves, developing qualities that will attract the type of mate that we want. We should use that time to prepare ourselves, to really get to know ourselves. After all if we don't really know who we are how can we know what we want? We should use the time of waiting to study what the word of God says about marriage, husbands and wives.

Once we know what God's thoughts are on marriage and the qualities needed to be a good husband/wife, we can go to work on developing those qualities both inwardly and outwardly. We may need to make some changes in our lives, in our character. We may have to make physical changes in ourselves and/or changes in the way we do things. Whatever we discover, look at the time of waiting as an opportunity.

The time of waiting is an opportunity to draw closer to God, to get to know yourself and to serve others, so don't curse it. Use it wisely.

The Magic win

The game was great. A lot of our singles group went and took our children. We had a great time. The next morning we had breakfast at IHOP and were then on our way back to Palatka. I look forward to doing it again (although next time without the adventures I personally experienced, but that's a story for another time lol.) I think our next out-of-town trip will may be to the Holy Land Experience. Tell me what you think. Oh, yeah I'll post pictures from the game later.

Peace.
