I was talking to a male friend the other day about being a christian single and the struggles we face. Especially when it comes to sexual sin. He was sharing with me the way that men view things and how difficult it is for them to abstain and keep themselves pure for marriage. Now, my friend has not always been saved and has two children from prior relationships. He was telling me that sex was a natural, normal and abundant part of his life. However; since becoming totally devoted to God he has made the decision to live as God instructed and to abstain from sex until marriage. This is proving to be a bit difficult for him but, he is trusting God to keep him until the day he marries. I admire that not only is he trusting God and keeping in constant communication with him thru prayer, he is taking practical steps by not putting himself in situations that would cause him to give in to sexual sin. He is reading books and seeking answers to questions on how to remain pure. He has totally disselled that old myth that a man will be a man. Hey...wait a miunte, maybe he has actually just proved it; a man will be a real man!
